How to Support Your Family’s Health — Naturally

St. Hildegard, whose feast day is celebrated every September 17, was not only a brilliant visionary, she was also an herbalist, a talented poet and composer.

Maybe in another life I could have been like Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser, a healer, and a time-traveler from the show Outlander. Or like Saint Hildegard of Bingen, the German Benedictine abbess and mystic known for her healing powers involving practical application of tinctures and herbs.

The way that I concoct herbal remedies for my family each night, one might think that I have in fact decided to make a career change and become a healer, an herbalist or that I have just lost my mind.

Honestly, I probably spend way too much time every night measuring out special tinctures and potions for each member of my family and any other person that dares to walk into my “lair” during supplement time. Yes, I have given herbal tinctures to random visitors in my home.

You don’t have to be as crazy as I am, but you can begin to learn more about how to support your family’s health – naturally!

I love and use all of the products in this post. I was not paid to write this post, however it may contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of my links, I may make a small profit at no expense to you and I may buy more herbs with that money.

Step 1: Start small

As I have mentioned, I secretly want to be a healer so I have grown my collection of herbal remedies over the years. I have spent years learning about herbs and building my collection, but don’t let all the options out there overwhelm you!

My advice to you if you are just getting started is to start small; pick one thing that ails you and research that topic.

For example, my herbal journey began many years ago when my oldest daughter was suffering from allergies and frequent sinus issues. Our doctor wanted her to take prescription allergy medications, but I knew the side effects were not good. I felt like she was just too young to be on daily medication so I did some research and came across this herbal sinus and allergy remedy.

After my daughter starting taking this allergy relief tincture daily, we saw immediate results and have never had to put her on a daily allergy medication. It was life changing for her! When I would run out, she would wake up stuffy. She actually asked me to reorder it one time, because she could tell the difference when she wasn’t taking it. Don’t believe me? Then you must…

Step 2: Do some research

It is likely that humans have used plants as medicine for as long as we have existed. This isn’t new and there is A LOT of scientific evidence out there to support herbal remedies. You will be amazed once you start doing a little research.

Did you know? A point in history came when most scientists believed that there was no need to use plants themselves in drugs anymore because chemists could synthesize compounds that were more potent (and often more toxic) than the natural products offered by nature. Now, most pharmaceuticals are synthetic compounds.

Why would we stop using real plants offered by God and nature? I will let you answer that one for yourself.

In the meantime, I can help you get started on a little research. I love the easy to follow e-book, Healing with God’s Earthley Gifts.

In this 45+ page eBook, Healing With God’s Earthley Gifts: Natural and Herbal Remedies, you’ll learn the herbal remedies that you need to keep your family healthy, 100% naturally.

Step 3: Support your health in other ways

This is where I give my speech about the importance of mental, physical and spiritual health. Utilizing herbal remedies is a great way to support your health, but you can’t eat junk food all day, sit on the couch binge watching Outlander and then take some herbs thinking that all of your health problems will magically disappear.
